Happy Halloween!

Since Halloween 2010 was on a weekend, we decided to take advantage and fill our calender (and our candy pails). On Friday we went to our annual tradition - trick or treating in the Magnolia Village. On Saturday we went to the Day of the Dead celebration at the Seattle Center. And on Sunday we went to my Aunt Nancy and Uncle Brad's house to do some trick or treating in their very large neighborhood called Olympic Manor. Audrey was Scarlett O' Hare and Olivia was a pirate. (She earned the name Captain Grumpypants as the weekend went on.)

At Magnolia Village

Ahoy matey!

Getting her face painted for Day of the Dead.

SCARY!

On Halloween night.

"Trick or Treat!"

Hitching a ride home on a very tired Daddy.

"Good Night and Happy halloween!"

New Do (2)

We finally gave up on trying to wait and took Olivia to Dooz Kids Salon at Bellevue Square Mall for a MUCH NEEDED haircut. We thought that she would be so happy to finally be able to see and to no longer need the sprout do upon her head. Well we were wrong - she screamed more during her salon visit than she does at a doctors visit. No amount of encouragement from her sister, toys from the salon station, or comfort from her Mommy and Daddy could console her or dry her tears. We felt really bad, but IT HAD TO BE DONE, and the results were fabulous. Here is how the drama played out.......

The chosen location.

The unsuspecting victim.

"Oh no, she's on to us."

Being physically restrained is no fun.

"STOP IT!!!!!"

"No Daddy the toys will NOT help!"

"HELP!!!!!!!!!!"

Satisfied customer? I think not. But cute? I think so!

"Is it my turn now?" (You know she was totally disappointed in Olivia for wasting perfectly good pampering time at a salon.)

The Walrus

We took advantage of the nice weather and went to Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. The girls love the underwater viewing section for the large marine mammals. The walrus was in a very playful mood and kept coming up to the glass where the girls were standing. They both screamed with laughter every time he came by.

"Well hello there"

Biringer Farm

We wanted to take the day to have some Fall fun so we went to Biringer Farm.

Taking a tractor pulled wagon ride.

So peaceful

Daddy leading the way through the corn maze - his height was definitely to our advantage!

Audrey in the extremely difficult kids hay maze. (Okay it was probably difficult just for me)

Her face says it all - these goats smelled soooo bad!

Farmer Audrey

Inside this adorable little chapel.

"That's a funny looking chicken!"

Fun times!

"I'm beat - let's go home."

Catch up time........again.

Yes I am up to my slacking ways again. I can't help it I am just too darn busy these days. Let me fill you in on what we have been up to.

We finished off the summer with the Mountlake Terrace Seafair event, the Magnolia Seafair parade, a trip to Maryland to visit with family, and lazy days at home that were filled with laughs.

Audrey on her first solo roller coaster ride.

WEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

"Hey, when can I do that?!"

At the parade.

"I love clowns?"

Taking a snooze on a very comfy cousin Joe.

Having a cuddle with cousin Chris.

"Yes I am up to something."

Picture with the cousins - Kevin, Derek, Shelly, Audrey, Logan, and Olivia.

"Look at me Mama!"

Sooooo Cute!

Audrey called me to come outside and this is what I found.

"WHOA!"

Summer fun is exhausting!
